This wine has pronounced aromas of red fruit, especially cherry and plum, but also blackberry and bramble along with white pepper and eucalyptus with secondary notes of chocolate, coffee and toast with varying degrees of tertiary notes depending on the vintage. In the mouth the wine is dry with good acidity and is full bodied. There are further notes of, red and black fruit and green bell pepper. The finish is long. It can be drunk now or aged for nearly two decades, retaining fruit, acidity and structure with tertiary flavours such as cedar, leather and cigar box.
